Features:
The PWM driver with an IIC interface incorporates a built-in clock, distinguishing it from the TLC5940 family by eliminating the need for continuous signal transmission from your MCU, freeing up its resources entirely. Operating at a power supply of 5V, it enables safe control from a 3.3V microcontroller while efficiently driving outputs of up to 6V, particularly advantageous for applications involving white or blue LEDs with forward voltages exceeding 3.4V. Its chainable design and 6 address select pins facilitate the connection of up to 62 drivers on a single I2C bus, allowing for a total of 992 outputs-ideal for managing numerous servos or LEDs. Moreover, it offers adjustable frequency PWM of up to approximately 1.6 KHz and boasts a 12-bit resolution for each output, translating to approximately 4us resolution at a 60Hz update rate for servos. The driver also features configurable push-pull or open-drain output, an output enable pin for swift deactivation of all outputs, and onboard 220ohm resistors capable of driving LED outputs.
