Description
This 8 strand braided copper speaker lead wire is a repair part for DIY hobbyists restoring 5 to 8 inch home and car woofers. It connects a woofer terminal to an amplifier or crossover inside the cabinet. The lead is made of pure copper in an 8 strand braided construction. Pure copper carries signal between the voice coil terminal and the amplifier, and the braided build resists flexing fatigue better than a single solid strand of the same gauge. Length is 2m. Use it when a factory lead breaks or corrodes on a bookshelf, center, or door speaker. At 2m you can route it through a confined cabinet and trim the excess, so the run does not tangle around the basket during refoam or recone work. A single cut replaces the damaged section you removed. Choose this lead for 5 to 8 inch home and car woofers, and for low to moderate power builds. It is not intended for competition subwoofers larger than 8 inch or for high power SPL builds, where a heavier gauge is required. Soldering is needed to attach the ends; no connectors are included.
