Description
The north american b-25 mitchell, named after the visionary brigadier general william "billy" mitchell, soared into action in 1941 and quickly became a legend of world war ii. This versatile medium bomber fought valiantly in every theatre of the war, and continued to serve with distinction for decades after.
It's impressive production numbers, with nearly 10,000 built, solidified its place as america's most-produced medium bomber and the third most-produced american bomber overall. The b-25's legacy extends far beyond its core design; its adaptability spawned variants like the f-10 reconnaissance aircraft, the at-24 crew trainer, and even the united states marine corps' pbj-1 patrol bomber.
Now, academy has recreated this piece of military history in 1/48 scale, ready for you to build and display.
