For example, LAUNCH 431XCRP919 is currently sold with two years of free updates, after which software renewal is available as a paid service.ANCEL takes a different long-term approach with the DS300.

The DS300 includes lifetime free software updates from activation. Updates can add support for newer vehicles, additional diagnostic coverage and improved functions, helping the scanner remain useful as vehicle technology develops.

There is no recurring ANCEL subscription fee required to keep using the device or its installed software.
