Angling for interpretation

The aim of this study guide is to provide a first introduction to biblical, theological and contextual hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is the subject that analyses the process of interpretation. As a first introduction it is primarily aimed at first-year students. Church groups may also find it useful. It is meant to be a workbook. There are plenty of exercises, examples and questions for discussion. The exercises are clearly marked with a thick line in the left and right-hand borders, and for reference purposes, are numbered alphabetically in each chapter.
