ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 WiFi 8 Quad-Band Gaming Router

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 is a quad-band WiFi 8 (802.11bn) gaming router built to deliver stable, low-latency wireless performance across multi-device home networks. Running on the next-generation 802.11bn standard, it combines enhanced mid-to-long-range throughput, improved IoT device connectivity, and smarter spectrum coordination to keep connections consistent even when many devices are active simultaneously. A 2.6 GHz quad-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM handles the network load, while three tiers of AI-driven game acceleration work from device detection through to intelligent server routing via the bundled GTNet service. The router is AiMesh compatible, allowing additional nodes to be added to extend coverage. Dual 10G ports and four 2.5G ports provide high-bandwidth wired connectivity for demanding workloads and home entertainment setups.

KEY FEATURES

• WiFi 8 Gaming Router: The GT-BN98 is the manufacturer's first WiFi 8 (802.11bn) gaming router, delivering quad-band wireless up to 25,000 Mbps combined across 2.4 GHz, two 5 GHz bands, and a 6 GHz band.
• AI Game Boost: Three-level game acceleration covers automatic gaming device detection, Adaptive QoE bandwidth allocation, and GTNet intelligent server routing, helping reduce latency under real-world network conditions.
• Dual 10G Ports: One 10G WAN/LAN port and one dedicated 10G Gaming Port maximise wired throughput, with the gaming port prioritising game traffic from connected devices without manual configuration.
• AiMesh Support: The GT-BN98 operates as a primary AiMesh router or as a mesh node, allowing the network to be expanded with compatible ASUS AiMesh devices for broader coverage.
• Guest Network Pro: Up to five dedicated SSIDs can be created for IoT devices, children's devices, VPN connections, gaming, and Multi-Link Operation, enabling network segmentation without complex configuration.
