ATEN VS5821 2-Port 8K HDMI Switch

The ATEN VS5821 2-Port 8K HDMI Switch allows two HDMI source devices to connect to one HDMI display.

It supports video resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 60Hz with 4:2:0 chroma and 3840 x 2160 at 120Hz, together with HDR10+, VRR, ALLM, Deep Color and HDCP 2.3 compatibility. Sources are selected using the pushbutton on the unit.

Product Description

The ATEN VS5821 is a compact 2-port 8K HDMI switch designed for gaming setups, home entertainment, professional studios, meeting rooms and commercial AV environments.

It allows two compatible HDMI sources, such as laptops, game consoles, TV boxes, DVD players and media players, to connect to a single HDMI display.

ATEN RapidSync technology supports fast synchronisation and smooth switching between connected HDMI sources. Users can select the required source using the pushbutton on the unit.

The VS5821 supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz, with a maximum data rate of 48Gbps. Support for HDR10+, Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode, 3D and Deep Color helps provide detailed visuals and responsive performance with compatible source devices and displays.

The switch also supports compatible multichannel audio formats, including LPCM 7.1, Dolby Digital and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Please note that this product is an HDMI switch. It connects two HDMI source devices to one HDMI display and does not distribute one source across multiple displays.

Compatibility Note

Please check that your HDMI source devices, display and HDMI cables support the required resolution, refresh rate, HDR format and HDCP version before ordering.

The ATEN VS5821 connects two HDMI source devices to one HDMI display. It does not distribute one HDMI source across multiple displays.

For 8K at 60Hz, 8K at 30Hz, or 4K at 120Hz, compatible HDMI source equipment, display and 28AWG HDMI cables of up to 1.5m on both the input and output sides are required.

For 4K at 60Hz, HDMI cables of up to 3m on both the input and output sides are supported.

This HDMI switch does not support automatic source switching, ARC or eARC.

A compatible 5V/1A USB power adapter is required and is not included. HDMI cables are also not included.
