Brita On Tap Water Filter System

The BRITA On Tap filter system has a Hollow Fibre Membrane and activated carbon granules that removes 99.99% bacteria. The filter reduces a broad range of impurities such as heavy metals, pesticides, hormones, micro particles (such as plastics), and has a digital display (with interchangeable battery) that counts the litres of filtered water used. The BRITA On Tap system has 3 water functions - filtered, unfiltered and unfiltered shower option that is ideal for washing dishes and veggies. This product is perfect for consumers that want purer water on demand without the hassle of using a filter jug, and each On Tap replacement filter cartridge filters up to 600L of water. This system is easy to install without any tools and also includes 5 variants of tap adaptors (x) which makes it a perfect fit for almost every kitchen!

xAlthough this BRITA On Tap System comes with 5 adaptors for most common tap styles, these adaptors will not fit most specialised tap styles. Please refer to the imagery for more details on which types of taps these adapters will not fit.

To determine if this BRITA on Tap system is suitable for your tap, please refer to the below adaptor fitting types:

• 1 x adapter for 22mm Metric female thread
• 1 x adapter for 22mm Whitworth female thread
• 1 x adapter for 23mm Whitworth male thread
• 1 x adapter for 24mm Metric male thread
• 1 x universal adapter for tap diameter between 15 - 25mm

Product Details:

xWhile the filter has a capacity of up to 600 litres, this can be reduced by up to half if there are high levels of particles in the municipal or borehole water (Total Dissolved Solids or TDS). There are many sources of particles in water (TDS) - the main sources include rust, sediment and/or dissolved metals originating from the municipal or household water pipes. These particles can cause the filter to get blocked-up, which is why the flowrate of the water can sometimes become slower than normal. In severe cases the filter may become completely blocked as the water simply doesn't have any more space to run through. In this instance, the digital display may stop working, until such time as a new filter cartridge has been replaced, as there is not enough pressure for the water meter to count the litres used.

The reason for this is that the highly efficient hollow fibre membrane filters particles larger than 1 micrometre (such as micro plastics) and 99.99% of bacteria. The membrane has innumerable tiny pores and, similar to a sieve, only allows particles smaller than 1 micrometre to pass.
