Description
Clairefontaine's Pastelmat is designed to achieve the specific expectations of any pastel artist.
The pastel medium fits so well to this paper that numerous layers can be applied without a saturation effect.
Pastelmat paper offers a coarser surface than velour but a softer surface than sandpaper, and therefore making gentler on both fingers and blending tools.
It is a top-end 360gsm card surface with velvety texture made from a fine coating of cellulose fibres, which can hold multiple layers of pastels.
The fine particles are sufficiently well-fixed for a smooth surface and comfort of use, and the smoothness of the grain in the adhesive ensures longevity.
The Pastelmat paper is available in 14 colours.
The no.1 Red Label has paper colours Maize, Buttercup, Light Grey, and Dark Grey. The pad has 4 sheets of each colour that are 24 x 30cm in length.
