What does @ 5% Coverage mean?

When OEM & Compatible Printer Manufacturers refer to "5% coverage," they're referring to the International Standard Measurement used to estimate how many pages a cartridge/drum unit can print before finishing. It means that, on a single A4 page, only 5% of the page's total surface area is covered with ink or toner, which is roughly equivalent to printing a short business letter or a few lines of text.
