This unique brush from da Vinci is a versatile and special painting tool with a silver tip at the end of the handle. The wash brush has a Kebony black mat lacquered esagonal handle and is made carefully by hand.

At the other end is one of the most innovative drawing tools on the market: the Ethergraf. Inspired by silverpoint drawing, this metal tip is made from a unique, specially developed alloy that allows artists to draw on any paper they like (unlike silverpoint which can only create marks on specific surfaces). This is because Ethagrafs create marks by oxidising the paper's surfaces, resulting in beautiful, subtle, permanent and waterproof drawings. You can, therefore, use an Ethagraf to make a light underdrawing for a watercolour painting, or add subtle details to your painting once it is done without muddying your colours.
