- Right HandedRising butt hinges may be used where thick floor coverings such as tiles and deep piled carpets prevent the door from easily opening and closing. In addition due to the design of rising butt hinges, a door can easily be lifted up and off the hinges when it has been installed correctly making hese hinges suitable for applications that require a door to be easily removable.Rising butt hinges have the advanatage over regular hinges by assisting in self closing and in most cases doors fitted with rising butt hinges will at least part close automatically, often promting the person to complete the task.
