Dortello 1286 x 2120 mm Econo Semi-Exterior Timber Pivot Door

Modern Flair, Practical Value: The Dortello Econo Pivot Door

Make a striking first impression without the premium price tag. The Dortello Econo Semi-Exterior Pivot Door combines a contemporary, grand entrance design with an accessible price point. Unlike traditional hinged doors, the pivot mechanism allows the door to rotate effortlessly on an off-centre axis, providing a smooth, high-end feel and a dramatically wide entry opening.

Crafted from mixed timber (often Pine or similar wood), this door is designed for semi-exterior applications. This means it is suitable for use on the exterior of a building, provided it is protected by a significant overhang, porch, or canopy to shield it from direct rain and harsh sun. Available in a substantial size (commonly 1286 mm wide and 2120 mm high), this door is the perfect architectural feature to elevate your home's façade. The Dortello brand is known for offering stylish timber doors built for modern living.

Top 3 Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this door fully exterior and weatherproof? This door is rated as Semi-Exterior. It must be protected from direct exposure to rain and sunlight (e.g., by a patio or awning) to prevent warping and damage. It is essential to treat and seal all six sides of the door immediately upon purchase.

2. Are the pivot hardware and handles included? The door usually comes pre-hung in its frame with the basic pivot mechanism fitted. However, the lock set, handles, and custom pull handles are typically excluded and must be purchased separately.

3. What finish should I apply to the door? As it is supplied raw, you must apply a high-quality oil-based varnish, sealant, or specialized exterior paint to all sides, edges, and cut-outs before installation. This is crucial for maintaining the warranty and preventing weather damage.
