Heated gloves are not designed to make your hands "hot" but rather to safely increase the temperature around them.
As a test, use one charged glove and one standard glove whilst riding
The warmth effect will not be felt on the outside of the gloves
Dependent on the outside temperature, you may want to turn the gloves on a few minutes before you leave giving them time to heat
Please note however that without your hands in the gloves, the warm air will soon escape so don't leave them for too long.
