This ELM327 USB OBD2 adapter connects your Windows laptop to your car's OBD2 port, allowing you to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), view live sensor data, and run advanced service tests. The built-in MS-CAN/HS-CAN toggle switch provides full access to both CAN bus networks, enabling deep diagnostics on Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles through software like FORScan and ELMconfig.
What makes this ELM327 different from generic ones:
HS-CAN / MS-CAN toggle switch - Many Ford and Mazda models (circa 2003-2004 onwards) are equipped with a second MS-CAN bus that standard ELM327 adapters cannot access. The toggle switch lets you manually switch between HS-CAN (pins 6,14) and MS-CAN (pins 3,11), giving you full module access. Without this switch, you cannot read systems like the central configuration, instrument cluster, or door modules on Ford vehicles.
Read & clear trouble codes - Read both generic and manufacturer-specific fault codes, then clear them to turn off the Check Engine Light. The software includes a database of over 3000 code definitions.
Live sensor data - View real-time engine RPM, coolant temperature, vehicle speed, fuel trim, oxygen sensor voltages, intake air temperature, throttle position, and more.
FORScan compatibility - Works with the free FORScan software for Windows, which gives you dealer-level access to all modules on Ford-family vehicles. Access the Global Window feature, enable Bambi Mod, make tyre size corrections, disable double horn honk, disable door ajar chime, and many other hidden functions.
Universal OBD2 compatibility - Besides Ford/Mazda/Lincoln/Mercury, this adapter also works as a standard OBD2/EOBD code reader on most 12V petrol cars (post-2000) and diesel cars (post-2004), including VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, and many more.
