Drywall Screw Phillips Drive Coarse Thread from Eureka is designed to make fixing plasterboard / drywall sheets to timber or metal framing; drives flush just below the surface straightforward and consistent. Made from steel, it is built to support consistent results on site or at home. FEATURES & BENEFITS � Bugle head sits flush in plasterboard without tearing the paper face � Sharp point bites straight into board and stud without pre-drilling APPLICATION � Fixing plasterboard / drywall sheets to timber or metal framing � drives flush just below the surface INSTALLATION � Use a drywall bit and drill to drive the screw flush with the board surface without breaking through the paper face. � The screw needs to embed at least 25mm into the timber substrate to hold properly, so make sure your framing depth allows for that. � Don't overtighten � sinking the head too deep weakens the hold and can cause the board to crumble around the fastener. � These screws are self-drilling through timber, so no pilot hole is needed in the wood. � For ceiling applications, take extra care with placement as the smaller head is more prone to pulling through board under load.
