Most cameras have to choose at night: switch on a spotlight and get colour, or stay dark and get grey. The EZVIZ H80x Dual does neither. Its F1.0 aperture and EZVIZ's ColorFULL technology capture true colour in near-darkness with no lights firing at all, so you see the red bakkie and the blue jacket instead of two grey shapes, and nobody knows they have been recorded. Add 4K resolution, two lenses working together and a motorised head that pans and tilts, and one camera covers a whole yard properly. The 128GB EZVIZ Professional microSD card is included, so it records from day one with no subscription.

Setup:

• Insert the microSD card, mount the camera 2.5 to 3 m high angled slightly down, and seal the cable joint with the included waterproof kit.
• Pair it to your Wi-Fi in the EZVIZ app and format the card before you rely on it.
• Set your detection zones, your preset positions and your patrol route, then adjust the siren and light settings to suit your property.

Care and Maintenance:

• Wipe both lenses and the spotlights with a dry microfibre cloth every few months. Dust and spider webs across a lens ruin night vision faster than anything else.
• Check the waterproof seal on the cable joint after heavy storms.
• Leave clearance around the head so nothing obstructs it as it rotates.
• Check card health in the EZVIZ app from time to time, since security cards write continuously and eventually wear out.
