The voice detecting CLA40 VOX telephone amplifier is light, portable sleek and automatically detects the best frequencies. It has a booster button and tone control, the receiving volume control reaches 30dB and up to 40dB gain with 'boost' volume button and its receiving bass and treble tone control reaches 10dB max.

This telephone amplifier should work for any desk top telephone that has a conventional handset. It is plugged in between the handset and the telephone base. The connector is often called a RJ9 or RJ22 connector which is the standard connector on the curly cable often supplied with telephones and it is just smaller than the RJ11 which is the standard telephone connector used to plug the telephone into the wall socket. The supplied black cable is connected to the top of the amplifier and to the telephone while the handset is connected to the bottom of the amplifier, near the boost button.

Please note that this amplifier is not suitable for telephones with the keypad in the handset.

Underneath the amplifier, there is a 12 way rotary switch which allows you to select the best sound. This is explained in the manual.
