Note: GreenCast 160 is designed as a casting resin, not a coating resin. Open surfaces may require flattening and polishing to achieve a perfectly flat gloss finish.

Curing & Working Times

Touch dry: ~48 hours (temperature dependent)

Demould / finishing: Minimum 72 hours

Full hardness: ~30 days

Optional post-cure: 24 hrs at 40-60 C to accelerate full cure

Thin castings may cure more slowly.

UV & Outdoor Guidance

This resin offers improved UV stability and water resistance; however:

It does not provide 100% UV protection

Not recommended for permanent outdoor exposure

UV resistance can be improved with:

Protective urethane clear coat

UV-resistant wax polish

885 ml per 1 kg

1 litre covers ~1 m at 1 mm thickness

Bubble Removal Tips

Mixing and pouring can introduce air bubbles. For best results:

Degas under vacuum (professional method)

After pouring, use a small propane torch

Hold heat source ~300 mm from surface

Sweep quickly across the surface

Repeat every 30 minutes until gel stage

A heat gun or hair dryer may also be used.
