Hand-Knotted Black Pearl and Prehnite Tassel 90cm Long Necklace

This beautiful 90 cm (900 mm) long strand of natural black freshwater pearls lends elegant drama to any outfit. Created by local jeweller "Afrikay", the pearls and gemstones are carefully sourced, to produce a quality and collectable piece of jewellery. Each pearl is 8 - 9 mm. The colour is an unusual green/grey with fascinating natural rainbow iridescence. The hand-knotted string of pearls leads down to a 6 cm (60 mm) tassel, created out of eight strands of 3 mm faceted natural earth-mined Prehnite beads. A sterling silver spacer holds the tassel. The grey/green hue of the black pearls complements the green Prehnite with its natural inclusions beautifully. The necklace closes with a solid sterling silver T-Bar clasp. The necklace weighs a solid 83,2 grams, ensuring that it hangs beautifully. Being hand-knotted, it can be folded easily without danger of breaking the strand, making it perfect for travel. As the models in our photographs show, the necklace can be worn as a single long strand, or double-looped and worn as a shorter necklace on the collar-bone area. It comes with a "Valuation & Authentication Certificate" of R5'000.
