Hand-Knotted Bronze Pearl & Green Onyx Tassel 1,48m Long Lariat Necklace

This beautiful 1,42 metre (142 cm) long strand of natural bronze freshwater pearls lends elegant drama to any outfit. It is a Lariat style necklace with several ways of wearing it. Created by local jeweller "Afrikay", the pearls and gemstones are carefully sourced, to produce a quality and collectable piece of jewellery. Each pearl is 5mm. The colour of the pearl is a bronze/brown with fascinating natural golden iridescence. The hand-knotted string of pearls leads down to a 6 cm (6 mm) tassel, one at each end of the strand, each tassel created out of eight strands of 3 mm faceted natural earth-mined green onyx beads, of a strong and bright green hue. A sterling silver spacer holds each of the tassels. The colour combination and contrast of the bronze pearls and the bright green onyx is rather beautiful and elegant. The necklace weighs a solid 49 grams, ensuring that it hangs beautifully. Being hand-knotted, it can be folded easily without danger of breaking the strand, making it perfect for travel. As the models in our photographs show, the necklace can be worn in many different ways: the classic Lariat style - draping the two tassel ends through a loop in the middle of the long strand; or it can be knotted simply and worn as a distinctly elegant, single long strand; or double-looped, or even triple-looped, and worn as a shorter necklace on the collar-bone area. It comes with a "Valuation & Authentication Certificate" of R7'500.
