The HDMI IR Adaptor Kit provides a convenient way to control an HDMI source device remotely when used with a compatible HDMI splitter or extender. It uses the HDMI system's IR backward channel to transmit remote-control signals between the display location and the HDMI source, allowing the source device to be controlled from beside a connected TV.

This plug-and-play kit includes an IR transmitter (TX) and IR receiver (RX), each supplied with a 1.2m lead and 3.5mm jack connection. Two HDMI adaptors are also included to provide a simple connection solution without unnecessarily blocking neighbouring HDMI sockets.

The kit is particularly useful in multi-display installations where the HDMI source equipment is located away from the television or display. One HDMI IR kit is required for each TV connected to the splitter when remote IR control is needed at each display location.
