Description
The HFD4-I-5 is a subminiature sealed monostable high-load relay designed for compact electronic systems that require reliable switching performance, low power consumption, and strong load-handling capability in a space-efficient design. Featuring a Form 2C (DPDT / 2c/o) contact configuration, it allows independent control of two circuits, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial, automation, and embedded control applications.
This relay operates with a 5VDC coil voltage and a 178 coil resistance, optimized for low-voltage control circuits where stable operation and efficiency are important. As a monostable (non-latching) relay, it remains energized only while the coil is powered and automatically returns to its default state when power is removed. This behavior makes it ideal for fail-safe systems, momentary switching, and automatic reset control functions.
Despite its compact size, the HFD4-I-5 supports a maximum switching current of 3A, with surge capability up to approximately 3.5A, allowing it to reliably handle both signal-level and moderate power loads. Electrical ratings include 3A at 30VDC and 1A at 125VAC, with a maximum switching voltage of 250VAC / 220VDC, providing flexibility for AC and DC circuit integration.
The sealed subminiature construction protects internal components from dust and environmental contaminants, ensuring long-term stability and reliable performance in demanding operating environments. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for high-density PCB layouts where space optimization is critical.
Its gold flash contacts provide low contact resistance, improved signal integrity, and extended operational life, particularly important in precision switching and low-voltage applications.
Designed in accordance with IEC 60335-1 safety standards, the relay supports applications requiring recognized electrical safety and reliability compliance.
