Description
The Holbein Irodori Artists' Gouache collection offers traditional gouache colours inspired by the beauty of the four seasons in Japan, and this Winter set captures the deep, muted tones of the season. As with their watercolours, Holbein have produced a gouache of exceptional quality, grinding their pigments more finely than others and adding little or no opaquing agents to their colour. The pigments used have been chosen for exceptional saturation and the ability to mix freely without loss of brilliance, opacity, or hue values. The colours will give consistent results without darkening or muddiness, and will not bleed or crack, offering complete opacity when layered. This extra fine pigment gives artists a smooth, opaque matt finish well suited to traditional and contemporary Japanese-style painting alike.
This set of 12 x 15ml tubes brings together colours evocative of winter, from the deep Crimson, Iron Oxide, and Russet Brown through to the muted Dark Brown and Patina.
