I have Two Families: A Children's Book About Adoption

A little girl has two families: her birth family and the family that adopted her. She has many questions and feelings about her adoption. Together with her two families, she shares her story with other adopted kids.

A little girl shares her unique adoption story with other kids who may be adopted or about to be adopted. She grew in her birth mom's belly and looks like her birth dad, but she grew in the hearts of her adopted family and lives with them. She often has questions about her adoption that her adopted parents try their best to answer. In this inclusive book about the adoption journey, kids can learn they are amazing, chosen, and loved.

I Have Two Families is the perfect gift for children aged 5 to 9 who have been through adoption or who are going to be adopted. Written with love by a licensed marriage and family therapist who has both professional and personal experience with adoption, I Have Two Families offers kids a relatable look at open adoption. Parents and caregivers can use the book to help start conversations about what it means to be adopted and how to process all the big questions and feelings that kids may have about their own adoption.
