Description
Ensure a reliable, leak-proof seal on critical engine components with Imoto Head Gasket Shellac (59ml).
Formulated for heavy-duty automotive applications, this classic slow-drying, hard-setting liquid gasket sealant is designed to seal, coat, and hold gaskets securely in place under high pressure and temperature conditions.
Ideal for professional mechanics and automotive DIYers across South Africa.
Reliable Engine & Flange Leak Protection
Imoto Head Gasket Shellac creates a tough, leak-proof barrier that resists automotive fluids, including gasoline, oil, kerosene, diesel, and glycol mixtures. Its hard-setting formula seals minor surface imperfections on metal flanges, solid gaskets, and threaded connections, preventing head gasket blowout and fluid seepage in car, bakkie, truck, and stationary engine setups.
Versatile Automotive & Workshop Utility
Equipped with an easy-to-use brush-top applicator built into the cap, this 59ml bottle allows precise, mess-free application directly onto head gaskets, paper gaskets, felt, metal, and other sealing surfaces.
Key Performance Features- Hard-Setting & Slow-Drying: Allows ample alignment time before curing into a tough, durable sealing barrier.
- High-Temperature & Pressure Resistance: Built to withstand internal combustion engine temperatures and mechanical pressure.
- Fluid & Chemical Resistance: Unaffected by petrol, diesel, motor oil, water, antifreeze, and shop fluids.
- Integrated Brush-Top Cap: Convenient cap applicator ensures smooth, targeted coating without extra tools.
- Multi-Gasket Compatibility: Ideal for head gaskets, water pump gaskets, thermostat housings, intake manifolds, and threaded fittings.
1. Surface Preparation
Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly. Ensure flanges and gaskets are free of oil, grease, rust, and old gasket residue.
2. Apply Evenly
Use the built-in brush cap to coat both sides of the gasket or metal flange evenly.
3. Allow to TACK
Let the shellac air-dry slightly until sticky (tacky) before joining surfaces.
4. Assemble & Torque
Assemble the components and torque bolts down to manufacturer specifications.
