Jorge Manach nacio en Sagua la Grande, Cuba, en 1898 y murio exiliado en Puerto Rico en 1961. Es considerado uno de los intelectuales mas lucidos de la epoca republicana cubana, siendo tambien profesor de la Universidad de La Habana y de Columbia University en New York. Este libro contiene las dos conferencias mas importantes y controvertidas que llego a escribir. Reflexiones sobre la historia, realidad y el caracter cubano. Jorge manach was born in Sagua la Grande, Cuba, in 1898 and died an exile in Puerto Rico in 1961. He is considered one of the most lucid intellectuals of Cuban republican era, while also teaching at University of Havana and Columbia University in New York. This book contains the two most important and controversial conferences that he wrote which reflect the history, reality and character of the Cuban people.
