Macneil Rattan Glass Block 190 x 190 x 80 mm High-Privacy Decorative Glass Bricks

Design with Light & Privacy

Introduce a touch of organic texture to your home with the Macneil Rattan Glass Block. Inspired by traditional weaving techniques, this pattern is the ultimate solution for South African homeowners who prioritize total privacy without sacrificing the beauty of natural sunlight.

The Rattan finish features a sophisticated cross-hatched texture that scatters light in multiple directions. This creates a soft, frosted-like glow that illuminates dark corners while completely obscuring the view from the outside. Whether you are installing a street-facing window or a private office partition, the Rattan pattern offers a modern, tactile aesthetic that feels both warm and secure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How many Rattan blocks do I need per square meter (m2)? A: With a standard 10mm mortar joint, you will need 25 blocks per m2.

Q: Does the Rattan pattern look "busy" in a large wall? A: No, because the pattern is consistent, it creates a uniform "textured wall" effect that looks very modern and high-end when paired with white grout.

Q: What installation accessories do I need to finish the project? A: To ensure a professional finish, you must use Glass Block Spacers (to keep lines straight) and Specialist White Glass Block Mortar (for structural bonding and aesthetics).

Q: Can I mix Rattan blocks with Clear or Wave blocks? A: Absolutely. You can use Rattan blocks at eye level for privacy and Clear or Ocean blocks at the top of the wall to allow more direct light to enter.
