The Makita 3.0 Ah 18V Lithium Ion Battery | BL1830B has an unbeatable 22 minute charge time for a 3Ah power cell. The Battery is compatible with ALL 18V Li-Ion tools.
A lightweight, shock absorbent design allows for controlled operation of cordless power tools, but without fear of damage.
This battery is fitted with the Makita Star Protection System - due to an inbuilt computer which communicates with compatible Makita Power Tools to monitor operating conditions. The system is engineered to protect against overload, over discharge & overheating.
However, the Makita BL830 Lithium Ion Battery is only compatible with Makita Cordless Power Tools featuring a yellow connector plate, or a connector plate decorated with the Star Protection System symbol.
Over their lifetime, Lithium Ion Batteries have a 430% greater working capacity than Ni-Cad, & are 40% lighter than Ni-MH.
They can also be stored for long periods with very little charge depletion.
The Makita 3.0 Ah 18V Lithium Ion Battery can be charged using a Makita DC18RA or Makita DC18RC charger.
