Maxim Integrated (ICM7224IPL+) Display Driver, LCD 4.5 Digits

Product Overview
The ICM7224IPL+ is a 4.5 digit, LCD, high speed counter/decoder/driver in 40 pin DIP package. The device has segment decoders, leading zero blanking, store and reset inputs and carry output that allows cascading of 8 or more digits. The ICM7224 directly drives a non multiplexed liquid crystal display (LCD). This counter operates with input from DC to 25MHz while using only 10µA of supply current. A schmitt trigger on the count input ensures reliable operation in noisy environments and in applications with slowly varying inputs. Typical applications include unit counter, frequency counter, tachometer, hour meter and totalizer.
