Mecer 1200VA 720W 12V Inverter - Setup Instructions
COMPLUSORY SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW
This inverter must be installed by a qualified electrician. Incorrect installation can result in electrical shock, damage to equipment, or fire. The inverter will not power on until all required connections are properly made.

What You'll Need
12V Deep Cycle Battery (minimum 100Ah recommended)
12V Battery Cables (with correct gauge and terminals)
Circuit breaker or fuse (recommended for DC side protection)
Tools for electrical connections (used by the electrician)
Installation Steps (By a Qualified Electrician Only)
1. Choose a Safe Location
Install indoors in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool space.
Keep away from flammable materials and direct sunlight.
2. Connect the Battery
Ensure the inverter ON/OFF switch is OFF.
Connect the positive (+) terminal of the battery to the positive (+) DC input of the inverter.
Connect the negative (-) terminal of the battery to the negative (-) DC input.
Use correct polarity to avoid damage.
Note: A fuse or circuit breaker should be installed between the battery and inverter on the positive cable for safety.
3. Connect the AC Input (Optional)
If you plan to use grid power to charge the battery via the inverter's built-in charger, connect the AC input to a suitable wall outlet or DB board via an isolator or dedicated breaker.
4. Connect the AC Output
Connect essential appliances (TV, router, lights, etc.) to the AC output sockets or wire into an essential loads DB board.
Do not exceed the 720W limit.
5. Check Connections
Double-check all connections: battery polarity, tightness of terminals, and grounding if required.
6. Power On
Once all connections are complete and safe:
Turn on the battery breaker (if used).
Flip the inverter's power switch to ON.
The inverter should now power on and begin supplying power or charging.
Notes
The inverter will not turn on if the battery is not connected or is improperly connected.
Never operate the inverter without a battery connected.
This inverter is not designed to power high-load appliances like kettles, stoves, or heaters.
Operation Tips
Regularly check battery water levels (if using lead-acid).
Keep ventilation ports clear of dust.
Do not overload the inverter.

If the unit emits continuous beeping or shows an error light, refer to the user manual or contact a professional or Mustek Limited PTY LTD as the warranty is held with Mustek South Africa.
Do not open the unit yourself-risk of electric shock.
