Natural Earth-Mined Blue Sapphire & Fire Opal Cabochon Sterling Silver Ring

A rather unusual piece of jewellery. The ring head consists of two split concentric circles that feature fifty-six 1.25mm round bezel-set deep blue sapphires. In the centre is a 7.6mm x 5.8mm unheated Ethiopian fire opal that glows with a rainbow iridescence. The highly polished shank has a simple, slender, polished design. The ring head measures 16mm x 15mm, presenting 7mm above the finger. The ring is a size 7/three quarters ('P' in UK and SA sizing) and weighs 3.67 grams. The ring bears the '925'hallmark for solid sterling silver. It comes with an Independent Evaluation Certificate For Insurance Purposes: R16'000.
