Old Holland Watercolour - Tinting Zinc (6ml)

One of the unique characteristics of these watercolours is the unparalleled colour strength (maximum pigmentation). And while this high colour strength requires a slightly different approach on the part of the aquarellist (so little paint is needed from the tube or cup for the desired colour effect that you have to get used to the ratio of paint to diluent), the advantages are clear.

Tinting Zinc vs. Transparent Chinese White. The two colours are made from the same pigment however the Tinting Zinc has a higher concentration. This means that when mixing with other colours the Tinting Zinc will make the mix semi-opaque. Transparent Chinese White has a lower concentration, which means that colour mixes maintain their transparency.
