Overview

The OptiMate Solar DUO 20W is designed for 12V lead-acid and 12.8V lithium batteries commonly used in vehicles and watercraft. Its smart charge controller automatically manages the charging process based on the specific type and state of your battery. This intelligent system ensures improved battery performance and a longer service life without requiring constant supervision.

• Recovery: Successfully restores flat batteries from as low as 4V using a distinct pulse action.
• Optimized Charging: Delivers the fastest possible charge by choosing between pulse or continuous modes depending on the intensity of available sunlight.
• Smart Maintenance: Checks battery condition every three seconds and adjusts the program daily to maintain full charge or revert to the optimize phase if needed.
• Efficiency: Consumes less than 0.5mA while in monitor mode and activates charging as soon as solar energy is sufficient.

Installation and Safety

The controller is separate from the panel, allowing it to be placed near the battery for easy monitoring. The standard reach between the panel and battery is 315cm, which can be expanded using OptiMate O-03, O-13, or O-23 cable extenders. Safety features include spark suppression, protection against overcharging, and an automatic shutdown function if the battery is disconnected or a short circuit occurs.
