The Peak Design Pro Lite Tripod is a professional carbon fibre tripod designed for creators who need pro-level stability in a more compact travel-ready form. Slightly smaller than the Peak Design Pro Tripod yet significantly stronger than the Peak Design Travel Tripod, the Pro Lite offers the ideal balance of performance, portability and precision for photography and video workflows.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Developed in collaboration with photographer and filmmaker Jimmy Chin, the Peak Design Pro Lite Tripod delivers professional support in a compact and highly packable design. It shares the same architecture, ball head, materials and core features as the Peak Design Pro Tripod, but uses more compact legs for reduced packed volume and lighter carry.

Built with carbon fibre legs, CNC-machined aluminium hardware and ultra-tight tolerances, the Pro Lite offers dependable stiffness and stability across demanding environments. With a 15.9kg weight capacity, it is strong enough to support heavy professional camera and lens setups while remaining portable enough for travel, outdoor production and everyday creative work.

The Pro Lite folds down to a collapsed length of 48.8cm with an 8.5cm diameter, allowing it to fit easily into camera bags, travel packs or bottle pockets. It extends to a maximum height of 162.5cm with the centre column raised, or 133.2cm with the centre column down, giving photographers and filmmakers versatile working height without unnecessary bulk.

The integrated Arca-compatible ball head provides fast, secure camera mounting and precise composition control. A single large adjustment ring lets you frame and lock your shot in one smooth motion, while the built-in bubble level, plate lock ring and safety toggle provide confidence when securing valuable gear.

For video work, the ball head includes integrated 360 fluid panning for smooth cinematic movement without extra gear. When paired with the optional Peak Design Tilt Mod accessory, the Pro Lite Tripod can convert into a fluid pan and tilt video tripod, making it easy to switch between photography and filmmaking in the field or studio.

HOW TO USE

Deploy the tripod legs using the aluminium cam locks and adjust the height to suit your shooting position. Attach your camera using the included Arca-compatible Standard Plate, then secure it with the plate lock ring and safety toggle. Use the ball head's single adjustment ring to frame and lock your shot, or use the integrated 360 fluid panning control for smooth video movement.
