ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The Peak Design Travel Backpack 30L is the smaller sibling of Peak Design's iconic 45L Travel Backpack, designed for users who want a more compact travel bag without sacrificing organisation, durability or expandability. It works well as a daily carry backpack, short-trip travel bag or streamlined gear hauler.

The bag expands from 27L to 33L, giving you flexibility when you need extra packing space. In both compressed and expanded form, it meets international carry-on size requirements, making it practical for flights, commuting and weekend travel.

A large rear hatch provides full access to the main compartment, making packing and unpacking easy. The enlarged top pocket includes stretch and zip compartments for smaller essentials such as keys, glasses, passport, travel documents and accessories.

Built for demanding everyday use, the Travel Backpack 30L features Peak Design's weatherproof UltraZip, designed with proprietary abrasion-resistant thread for long-lasting performance. The outer shell is made from weatherproof 100% recycled 400D nylon canvas, with a durable 900D bottom liner for added protection.

The backpack includes padded sleeves for a laptop and tablet, expansive side pockets for water bottles or tripods, 360 grab handles, tuck-away shoulder straps and cleverly concealed external carry straps. It is also compatible with Peak Design Packing Cubes, Pouches and Camera Cubes, making it a versatile choice for travel, tech and camera workflows.

This PFAS-free version uses Peak Design's Versa Shell external fabric with an eco-friendly PFAS-free water-repellent treatment, replacing the previous DWR treatment. The bag is also Fair Trade Certified and 100% carbon neutral.

HOW TO USE

Use the backpack in compressed 27L mode for everyday carry or expand it to 33L when extra travel space is needed. Pack clothing, tech or camera gear through the large rear hatch, store smaller essentials in the top pocket and place your laptop or tablet in the padded sleeves. Use the side pockets for bottles or tripods, and attach extra items with the included Cord Hook External Carry Straps when required.
