Pets Elite Dry Sausage 450g - Natural Pork & Beef Chew

A Sausage Your Dog Will Gnaw For Ages:

Pets Elite Dry Sausage takes real pork and beef and cures it the traditional droëwors way - completely salt-free and spice-free, dehydrated slowly with just vinegar for natural freshness. No shortcuts, no fillers, just honest meat prepared properly. It's the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle in a stick, built on BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) principles: real ingredients, minimal processing, honest preparation.

Chewing That Does Double Duty:

Rated 2/5 Soft on our Chewyness Scale, this is an easy, approachable chew that suits most dogs and chewing styles - soft enough for gentler chewers, still satisfying enough to keep jaws busy for a good while. The chewing action helps maintain healthy teeth and gums through natural chewing action, while giving your dog a proper mental workout along the way.

Our Chewyness Scale: 1 = Very Soft | 2 = Soft | 3 = Medium Hard | 4 = Hard | 5 = Very Hard

Real Nutrition, Not Just Flavour:

Loaded with pure pork and beef protein, this chew naturally supports strong muscles, sustained energy and everyday vitality - great fuel for active dogs or as a daily reward.

A Note on Aroma:

This is a real, honestly prepared product with a strong natural smell - completely normal, and exactly what makes it so appealing to your dog.

Make It Even Better:

Here's a trick every Pets Elite regular knows - smear a little Pets Elite Peanut Butter for Dogs along the stick, or dunk one straight into Mutelo. The soft, flavour-packed topper against the meaty base is a genuine favourite. Worth having a jar of either in the cupboard.

Key Benefits:

• Single-Ingredient Focus, Naturally Preserved: Real pork and beef with vinegar, used the Pets Elite way for natural shelf stability
• Salt-Free, Spice-Free: Traditional droëwors-style curing, no salt or spices added
• Dental Support Built In: Helps maintain healthy teeth and gums through natural chewing action
• High in Protein: Naturally supports strong muscles and everyday energy
• Great for All Chewing Styles: Soft enough for gentler chewers, satisfying for moderate chewers of all sizes
• Proudly South African: Made in Cape Town with care and honest ingredients

Ingredients:

Pork, Beef, Vinegar (used in preparation for natural shelf stability).

Freshness Note:
This is a real meat product with no artificial preservatives, so once opened, always reseal the packet tightly between feeds. Extended exposure to air will dry the product out and affect freshness, and keeping it sealed also stops insects from getting to it - resealing after every use is the simplest way to keep it fresh and safe.

A Note on Natural Variation:

This product is sold by weight, not by unit count - the number of sticks in each 450g pack will vary naturally depending on piece size. Piece length, thickness and colour will also vary slightly pack to pack - the honest reality of a real, naturally prepared product. Quality never varies, character does.

Suitable For:

Dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages | Moderate chewers and dogs new to harder chews | Dogs needing high-protein, everyday treats | Dental health and everyday chewing enrichment | Raw feeders and BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet enthusiasts

Not Recommended For:

Dogs that gulp treats whole without chewing

Feeding Tip:

Always supervise chewing and keep fresh water available. Wash hands after handling. Give as part of a balanced treating routine, staying under 10% of daily calorie intake.

About Pets Elite:

Founded in Cape Town in 2005, Pets Elite is one of the pioneers of natural dog treats and raw nutrition in South Africa. Our entire range is built around the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle philosophy and the principles of the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet: real animal protein, whole-animal nutrition, minimal processing and honest, natural preservation.

We avoid grains, sugars, salts, colourants and artificial additives - none of which offer any real benefit to dogs - producing treats designed to support long-term health, vitality and natural feeding instincts. We focus on human-grade meats, natural fats, traditional methods and gentle preservation - delivering food closer to what dogs' wild ancestors evolved to consume.

The result: treats made to support everyday vitality, help maintain a glossy coat and settled digestion, and encourage the natural energy that comes from eating real food.

Every treat we make reflects our promise: quality, integrity and pure pet joy.

Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle - real food for real dogs.
