Born in Burgundy, France where it is still referred to as red burgundy, this wine is expressive of ripe red berries, black cherries, mushrooms and forest floor.
Why is the average bottle of Pinot Noir much more expensive than other cultvars?
They are not easy grow
The biggest challenge with Pinot Noir grapes is their thin skins. This makes them sensitive to temperature fluctuation and susceptible to sunburn. The thin skins also mean that rot, fungus and mildew can become problems.
