PKCELL was founded in 1998 by Mr Lee Zhijiang, a Chinese physics engineer. In 1997 whilst working late at night, he encountered a overnight power outage at a hotel. A battery powered flashlight provided temporary assistance but soon ran out of power. Immersed in darkness and thought, he wondered if he could produce long-lasting batteries and spread them all over the world, making them affordable, convenient and accessible to more people. In 1998, he resigned as a senior engineer at the Chinese Physics research institute to realize his dream and finally set up PKCELL Battery Company in Shenzhen China.
Today, PKCELL batteries are sold in more than 30 Countries and has earned a good reputation worldwide.
