IMPORTANT BUYER NOTICE & LIMITATIONS:

FABRIC SUITABILITY: SPECIFICALLY FORMULATED FOR SYNTHETIC FIBRES (POLYESTER, ACRYLIC, ACETATE, NYLON, AND POLYESTER BLENDS OVER 35%). NOT SUITABLE FOR 100% POLYETHYLENE (PE), POLYPROPYLENE (PP), OR WATERPROOF COATED SYNTHETICS.

EXTREME HEAT REQUIRED: MUST BE USED IN A STAINLESS STEEL POT ON A STOVETOP. SYNTHETIC DYES REQUIRE SUSTAINED HIGH HEAT (NEAR BOILING, 93 C+) FOR THE ENTIRE 30-60 MINUTES. CANNOT BE USED IN A WASHING MACHINE OR PLASTIC BUCKET WITH TAP WATER.

ADDITIVES REQUIRED: DO NOT ADD SALT OR VINEGAR. ADDING 1 TEASPOON OF LIQUID DISH SOAP TO THE DYE BATH IS REQUIRED TO ENSURE EVEN DYEING.

EVEN APPLICATION: FABRIC MUST BE UNCRUMPLED AND ABLE TO MOVE FREELY IN THE POT. CONSTANT STIRRING FOR THE FIRST 10 MINUTES (AND FREQUENT STIRRING AFTER) IS ESSENTIAL TO PREVENT UNEVEN STRIPES OR SPOTS.

FABRIC BLENDS: IF DYEING FABRIC WITH LESS THAN 35% SYNTHETIC CONTENT, USE RIT ALL-PURPOSE DYE INSTEAD.

Perfect for rejuvenating faded clothing, upcycling, hiding laundry accidents and so much more!

Formulated specifically for fabrics made of synthetic fibers like polyester, acrylic, and acetate, this dye is ready, able, and willing to bring a fresh burst of colour to your favorite synthetic garments, household furnishings, and more. Even dye your solid plastic items!

With 250+ colour recipes available on Rit's website, it is almost certain you'll find the right colour for your needs!

Due to the complexity of dyeing synthetic fabrics, you must use this dye in a stainless steel pot on your stove top to maintain a high water temperature throughout the duration of dyeing. Cannot be used in a washing machine.

If dyeing fabric with less than 35% synthetic fabric (i.e. polyester, acrylic or acetate), use Rit All-Purpose Dye instead. (How-Tos available on the Rit Dye website).
