Description
- This low-pressure regulator is designed to supply gas to low-pressure appliances at a pressure of 2.8kPa and at the capacity indicated on the identification label (1)
- The regulator is suitable for any size cylinder with a 5/8" BSP left-hand thread (Bullnose fitting) This regulator is for use with LPG only (liquefied petroleum gas)
- The gas cylinder must always be used in an upright position. When used outdoors the regulator must be suitably protected against rain.
- Attach a suitable length of SANS approved gas hose (3) to the hoze nozzle (2) and secure the hose with a hose clamp (4)
- Connect the regulator to the gas cylinder by attaching the regulator handwheel (5) to the valve opening (7) and turn this handwheel anticlockwise (8)
- The handwheel should be tightened completely by hand into the cylinder valve
- There is no need to use any tool. Also, be sure to turn the handwheel only while holding the regulator body steady; the regulator is NOT to be turned
- Open the gas supply by turning the cylinder valve handle (9) anticlockwise and test for leaks by brushing with a soapy water solution onto the regulator and joints. The formation of bubbles will indicate a gas leak. Never test for leaks with a match or naked flame!
- Whenever you replace your gas cylinder, be sure to check for the presence and condition of the rubber washer (6) in front of the handwheel.
- INSTALL UNDER PROTECTIVE COVER WHEN INSTALLING OUTDOORS
