The Seiko Prospex Samurai combines a distinctive, angular stainless-steel case with a black dial, black uni-directional rotating bezel and silver-tone stainless-steel bracelet for a rugged sport-watch appearance.
At its heart is the Seiko 4R35 automatic movement, featuring 23 jewels, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and approximately 41 hours of power reserve.
The black dial uses silver-tone index markers and hands with luminescence for improved visibility. A practical date display is positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, while the screw-down crown and 200 m / 660 ft water resistance make this a considerably more water-focused watch than the chronographs we have done so far.
The watch is finished with a 41.7 mm stainless-steel case, 12.3 mm thickness, 20 mm stainless-steel bracelet and fold-over safety clasp.
About Seiko
Seiko's history began in 1881, when Kintaro Hattori opened a watch and clock business in Tokyo, Japan. Over the following decades, Seiko developed into one of Japan's major watch manufacturers, producing its own mechanical and quartz movements.
A major milestone came in 1969, when Seiko introduced the Quartz Astron, recognised as the world's first commercially available quartz wristwatch.
