The SM100GSB-20AB Cudy Bi-Directional SFP Optical Transceiver Pair is designed for reliable high-speed single-mode fibre networking over long distances. Featuring BiDi technology, these modules allow transmission and reception to operate over a single optical fibre by using different wavelengths for transmitting and receiving data.

The transceiver pair supports Ethernet channel speeds of up to 1.25Gbps and is designed for transmission distances of up to 20km over single-mode fibre. This makes it an excellent solution for connecting network switches, fibre equipment and compatible networking devices across buildings, campuses and other long-distance installations.

The pair consists of two complementary modules. The SM100GSB-20A uses a 1310nm FP laser with a 1550nm PIN photodetector, while the SM100GSB-20B uses a 1550nm DFB laser with a 1310nm PIN photodetector. These complementary wavelengths enable efficient two-way communication over a single fibre strand.
