Many parents use a more traditional monitor, like the Looksi, together with a baby breathing monitor, like the Hero. The Hero's optional audible 'tick' can also be enabled to notify you that breathing is being detected, which can be heard through the Looksi for reassurance that your baby is sleeping safely.
