This compact hang-on-back filter features a built-in surface skimmer that removes floating debris and oily film from the water surface, improving both clarity and oxygen exchange. The 3-stage filtration system (mechanical biological chemical) works together with the included mixed media bag to support beneficial bacteria and maintain healthy water conditions.

How to Use:

1. Hang the filter on the back of the tank with the skimmer at water surface level.
2. Fill the filter chamber with aquarium water before switching on.
3. Adjust the flow to suit your setup.
4. Rinse mechanical media regularly and replace chemical media as needed.

Cleaning & Maintenance

For best performance, inspect the filter regularly.

• Rinse the filter sponge when it becomes visibly dirty or water flow decreases.
• Filter media should be cleaned as necessary to prevent excessive blockage.
• When cleaning biological media, rinse it gently in removed aquarium water rather than chlorinated tap water to help preserve beneficial bacteria.
• Replace filter pads or media when they become worn or can no longer be cleaned effectively.
• Check the intake regularly for leaves, debris and other blockages.
• Inspect the pump and impeller periodically and remove accumulated debris.
• Disconnect the filter from the power supply before cleaning or putting your hands into the aquarium
