Sony Bravia HT-A9000 BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 585W 13-channel Soundbar

Sony Bravia HT-A9000 BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 585W 13-channel Soundbar The Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9 is a premium 585W soundbar designed to create an expansive cinema-style listening experience from a streamlined single-bar system. Its 13 speaker units, 360 Spatial Sound Mapping and support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced bring greater scale, direction and height to films, games and music. Key Features: 585W maximum total output delivered through 13 amplifier channels. 7.0.2-channel structure with 13 physical speaker units in a single soundbar. 360 Spatial Sound Mapping combines physical and phantom speakers to create a wider surround sound field. Supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and 360 Reality Audio. Up-firing speakers, side speakers and beam tweeters help reproduce overhead and wide directional sound. HDMI 2.1 pass-through supports up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video signals. Gaming features include VRR, ALLM and SBTM with compatible equipment. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, Spotify Connect and Apple AirPlay provide flexible wireless listening options. Immersive Sound from a Single Soundbar Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology creates additional phantom speakers around the listening area by combining digital processing with the Bar 9’s physical drivers. This produces a wider sound field and helps place effects beside, above and in front of the viewer without requiring multiple speakers around the room. Thirteen-Speaker Acoustic Design The 7.0.2-channel speaker arrangement incorporates 13 physical speaker units. Its acoustic design includes front and centre woofers, dedicated tweeters, side speakers, beam tweeters and up-firing speakers, supported by passive radiators for deeper bass. Rectangular X-Balanced Speaker Units maximise the available diaphragm area while limiting unnecessary driver movement. This helps maintain sound pressure while supporting clear dialogue and controlled bass from the soundbar’s slim enclosure. Cinematic Audio Formats Support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X adds height and direction to compatible soundtracks, while IMAX Enhanced certification supports selected compatible content. Sony’s upmixer can also analyse conventional stereo material and redistribute individual audio elements across the surround sound field. High-Resolution Audio and 360 Reality Audio support extend the experience to music. DSEE Ultimate uses Edge-AI processing to restore acoustic detail in compressed digital audio files in real time. Sound Optimised for Your Room Sound Field Optimisation analyses the soundbar’s position, the acoustic characteristics of the room and the main listening position. Calibration is completed through the Sony BRAVIA Connect smartphone app, helping the system adapt its sound field to the room rather than relying on a fixed configuration. Designed to Work with BRAVIA When connected to a compatible Sony BRAVIA television, Acoustic Center Sync allows the TV’s speakers to work as part of the centre channel so that voices appear to come directly from the screen. Compatible televisions can also provide Voice Zoom 3, which uses AI processing to raise or lower dialogue levels. Sound settings and volume can be managed through a compatible BRAVIA television’s Quick Settings menu, while the BRAVIA Connect app provides guided installation, sound controls, troubleshooting assistance and software-update notifications. Ready for Films and Gaming The HDMI connection can pass through high-resolution video signals up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz with compatible sources and displays. Support for HDR, Dolby Vision, HLG, VRR, ALLM and SBTM helps preserve picture quality while supporting responsive gaming. Wireless Music Streaming Connect compatible phones, tablets and computers using Bluetooth 5.2, with support for the AAC, SBC and LDAC codecs. Wi-Fi connectivity, Spotify Connect and Apple AirPlay make it easy to play music from supported devices and services. Expandable Surround Sound The Bar 9 can be paired with compatible optional Sony wireless rear speakers and subwoofers for a larger surround sound system with stronger low-frequency performance. Optional speakers and subwoofers are sold separately, and model availability may differ by region.
