The STC-1000 is a very common and reliable design for 1-stage digital temperature controllers. The temperature controller is a relay used to turn on/off the heating or cooling device connected to the controller according to the temperature range. This 220V AC, 2000W version is used for cooling and heating devices for animal shelters, sheds, fish tanks, aquariums, brewing or fermentation processes, cold rooms etc.
