Sun Command 50 mm PVC Non-Return Valve – Prevents Water Backflow in Pool Systems

Ensure the integrity and efficient operation of your pool's plumbing with the Sun Command 50mm PVC Non-Return Valve. Also known as a check valve, this critical component is designed to allow water to flow in one direction only, preventing damaging backflow and siphoning within your pool's circulation system.

Backflow can cause serious problems, from a pool pump losing its prime to the risk of chemicals mixing improperly. Made from durable, high-grade PVC, this 50mm non-return valve is built to withstand the demanding conditions of a pool environment. Its robust design provides peace of mind, protecting your valuable pump, heater, and other equipment from potential damage and ensuring a smooth, consistent water flow for a healthy, clean pool.

 Key Features:

• Effective Backflow Prevention: Allows water to flow in a single direction, protecting your pump and other equipment from siphoning and reverse flow.

• Maintains Pump Prime: Crucial for systems where the pump is located above the pool's water level, as it keeps water in the suction line, preventing the pump from running dry.

• Durable PVC Construction: Manufactured from high-quality PVC, a material known for its excellent resistance to corrosion from common pool chemicals like chlorine.

• Standard 50mm Size: Designed to fit seamlessly into standard 50mm PVC plumbing lines, making it ideal for new installations or replacement projects.

• Protects Equipment: Extends the lifespan of your pump, filter, and heater by preventing water hammer and other backflow-related stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does a non-return valve do? A non-return valve, also known as a check valve, is a one-way valve that allows fluid (in this case, pool water) to flow in a single direction and automatically prevents any reverse flow. This is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of your pool's plumbing system.

2. Where should a non-return valve be installed in a pool system? A non-return valve is typically installed in several key locations:

• On the suction line, just before the pump, to help maintain its prime.

• On the return line: After the filter or heater, to prevent water from flowing back into the pump.

• Before a heater: To protect it from dry starts.

3. Is this valve suitable for use with all types of pool chemicals? Yes, this valve is made from PVC, which is the standard material for most pool plumbing because it is highly resistant to corrosion from common pool chemicals, including chlorine, bromine, and pH adjusters. This ensures a long-lasting and reliable seal in your system.
