Tape Measure 5m 16ft Metric and Imperial with Lock and Belt Clip | Koteron

Koteron 5m Tape Measure - Accurate Measuring in Metric and Imperial

Measuring a room, a doorway or a length of timber with a short or flimsy tape means re-measuring, guessing and costly cutting mistakes. The Koteron 5m (16ft) Tape Measure gives you a full five metres of yellow blade with clear black markings in both centimetres and inches, a thumb lock to hold the reading, and a riveted metal end hook that catches the edge of the work. It is a compact everyday measuring tape that lives comfortably in a pocket, tool bag or kitchen drawer.

This tape measure suits DIYers measuring for curtains, shelves and furniture, builders and tilers marking out walls and floors, carpenters cutting timber and board, and anyone who needs to check sizes when shopping for appliances or planning a renovation. The dual scale makes it easy to work from both local metric drawings and imperial product sizes.

A 5m tape is the most practical size to keep with you: long enough for room widths, ceiling heights and furniture layouts, yet light and small enough to carry every day. Use the lock to hold the blade at a set length when marking several pieces to the same size, and clip it to your belt or pocket between measurements so it is always within reach when you need to check a size.

Why You'll Love It:

- 5 Metre (16ft) Blade - Five metres of tape covers most rooms, doorways, windows and furniture measurements in a single pull, so you spend less time moving the tape along and making joins in your measurements.

- Metric and Imperial Scale - The blade is printed in centimetres and inches, letting you read whichever unit your plans, product sizes or cutting list use. There is no need to convert sizes by hand.

- Thumb Lock Button - Slide the black lock to hold the blade at any length. This keeps your reading steady while you mark, write down a size or measure on your own.

- Riveted End Hook - The metal hook is fixed with three rivets and hooks over the edge of boards, pipes and frames for a reliable starting point, so you can measure longer runs without a helper holding the end.

- Belt Clip and Wrist Strap - A metal belt clip keeps the tape at your side while you work, and the fabric wrist strap helps prevent drops when working on a ladder or roof.

- Compact Yellow Case - The bright yellow case with black accents is easy to spot on site or in a toolbox and fits comfortably in one hand. The rounded shape slips easily into a pocket or apron.

- Easy-Read Markings - Large black numbers on a yellow blade, with red feet markings, make measurements quick to read in normal indoor and outdoor light, which helps reduce reading errors when working quickly.

Care and Maintenance:

- Guide the blade back into the case by hand rather than letting it snap back, which protects the end hook and the spring.

- Wipe the blade with a dry cloth before retracting if it has picked up dust, water, paint or plaster.

- Avoid kinking or bending the blade sharply, as creases can affect accuracy.

- Keep the tape away from strong solvents and do not leave it in direct sun on a car dashboard for long periods.

- Store in a dry place to help prevent rust on the blade and clip. If the blade gets wet, pull it out fully and let it dry before winding it back in.
