The 72-2680 from Tenma is a sound level calibrator. It is a useful tool to calibrate the sound level meter. It is supplied with two alkaline types, DC 9V batteries (006P, MN1604 PP3).

Calibration Procedures:
Insert the microphone of “SOUND LEVEL METER” carefully all the way into the coupler section of the 72-2680.
Set the “Sound Level Meter” to a range suitable for measuring “94 dB” or “114 dB”.
Set the “OFF/94 dB/114 dB” to “94 dB” or “114 dB” position. A pure 1,000 Hz tone is produced.
Adjust the calibration VR (knob) of the “ Sound Level Meter”. Until that the display reaches 94.0 dB or 114.0 dB exactly
